Year long Fellowship on Gender Based Violence and Child Marriage Concludes with Intensive 10 Day Training
The year-long media fellowship program focusing on gender-based violence and child marriage concluded with a comprehensive 10-day training workshop. Journalists, media students, and social activists from various districts participated in the training.
During the workshop, experts provided detailed guidance on gender based violence, child marriage, responsible reporting, solution focused journalism, digital safety, and ethical coverage of sensitive social issues.
Ms. Shabana Arif (Gender Specialist) delivered an insightful session on different forms of gender-based and social violence, highlighting the critical role of media in awareness and prevention.
Ms. Rabia Khan (National GBV Project Manager,SPO) discussed government policies, ongoing initiatives, and community-level interventions.
Ms. Ain ul Badra Fellowship Coordinator) emphasized the goals of the fellowship, the importance of ethical journalism, and the contributions of participating journalists.
Additionally, Ms. Muqaddas Mushtaq (Media Fellowship Co-Facilitator) provided hands-on training on news writing, story development, and field reporting.
Mr. Kamal Siddiqi (Media Expert) briefed participants on responsible journalism and modern reporting techniques.
